About The Pastor
Dr. Marvin J. Effa received a B.A. from Columbia International University, a Th.M from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a D. Min. from Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary. He has served as Principal of Bethany Christian School since 1994. Pastor Marv served nearly twenty years as Chaplain for the Plano Police and Fire Departments and the Medical Centr of Plano. He and Sara, his wife, have three children and grandchildren and have ministered at Bethany Bible Church since 1982.

Taking Jesus as He is to people as they are.
The purpose of this church shall be: to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as a means of reaching unbelievers (Mark 16:15); to worship and glorify God (John 4:23-24); to edify believers in Christian living (Ephesians 4:12); to encourage and promote fellowship of the saints (1 John 1:3, 7); and to equip others for vocational Christian service (2 Timothy 2:2) as taught in Scripture.
